Our key ingredients, defined

ALPHA HYDROXY ACIDS: Non-toxic substances naturally occurring in foods and plants. Some of the most effective are Glycolic (from sugar cane), Citric and Malic (from fruits), Lactic (from milk) and Tartaric (from grapes). These acids dissolve the outer layer of the skin called the "stratum corneum" (dead tissue that we shed gradually) by softening the physiological "glue" that holds the skin's surface cells together. As we age, these cells become thicker and harder, thus more difficult to shed (these dead cells also contribute to the development of age spots and dry skin). AHAs gradually help the surface of the stratum corneum to shed, thereby smoothing, softening and exposing a more youthful-looking complexion, eradicating dry areas and regulating skin tone.

APT®: A natural complex of plant derivatives developed from a strain of red marine algae found in the coastal waters of the Hawaiian Islands. APT® has been extensively tested and is shown to dramatically reduce fine lines, immediately saturate skin with moisture and boost skin's firmness and elasticity by increasing skin's production of collagen and elastin. The use of APT® on the skin results in more rapid cell growth, producing smoother, less lined skin.

COENZYME Q10 is an anti-oxidant nutrient found in every living cell in the body and provides the source of all cellular energy for building new cells and tissue. VITAMINS A C & E: Anti-oxidant vitamins which eliminate free radicals that cause skin degeneration. These vitamins stimulate the production of collagen to firm skin and bring fullness and elastin to promote skin softness and elasticity. We use the retinol form of vitamin A, L-ascorbic acid for vitamin C, and tocopherol acetate for vitamin E.
